Daily Reflections, Online Ministers, Creighton U.

Thanks be to you, Lord Jesus Christ: in all my trials and sufferings you have given me the strenth to stand firm; in your mercy you have granted me a share of eternal glory Irenaeus, Greek Prelate
Before you, Father,
In righteousness and humility,
With you, Brother,
In faith and courage,
In you, Spirit,
In stillness.
Dag Hammarskjold
Give us a pure heart that we may
   see you,
A humble heart that we may hear
A heart of love that we may serve
A heart of faith that we may abide
  in you.
Dag Hammarskjold
Those things, good Lord, that we pray for, Give us thy grace to labor for.
St. Thomas More
O god, who looked on us when we had fallen down into death, and resolved to redeem us by the Advent of your only begotten son; grant, we beg of you, that those who confess his glorious Incarnation may also be admitted to the fellowship of their Redeemer, through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. St. Ambrose
Miracles happen, not in opposition to nature, but in opposition to what we know of nature. St. Augustine

We worship one God in Trinity in Unity, neither confounding the Persons, nor dividing the Substance. The Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Ghost is God. Yet there are not three gods, but one God. In this Trinity nothing is before or after, nothing is greater or less: but all three Person coeternal together and equal.
St. Athanasius
Now let us sing in anthems sweet
To God the Father and the Son,
Who with the Holy Paclete
Forever reigneth there in one.
St. Ambrose
He would never come and knock at the door unless he wished to enter; if he does not enter, it is we who are to blame. St. Ambrose

A shadow's shadow, a world of shadow (Eccles. 1; 2) nothing matters except loving God.   Thomas a Kempis
Until all things become One for you, traced to One source and seen in One act of vision, you cannot find anchorage for the heart, or rest  calmly in God. O God, you are the truth; unite me to yourself by an act of unfailing love! Thomas a Kempis
Watch your own step; be slow to criticize the doings of other people. When we criticize others, we get nothing for our pains; and how often we make mistakes! How carelessly it can lead us into sin! ... Again and again our judgement about an issue depends on the way our sympathies areengaged; a personal preference can easily rob us of the power to see straight. This obstinacy in our own opinions would have less power to disturb our judgements if all the desire of our hearts found its only scope in God. Thomas a Kempis
People are influenced in their actions by undercurrents of self-seeking. ... All seems to go well with them as long as everything turns out in accordance with their wishes, their plans; but when their wills are thwarted, they lose their balance and get angry ...  Let awareness of our own self-seeking  lead us to live a humble life following the teachings of Christ.     Book 1 ch14 15-1
Love God with all your heart, and you've nothing to fear; death or punishment, judgement or hell; love, when it reaches its full growth, is an unfailing passport to God's presence. Thomas a Kempis
Throughout all generations we will render thanks unto Thee and declare Thy praise, evening, morning and noon, for our lives which are in Thy care, for our souls which are in Thy keeping, for the miracles which we witness daily,  and for Thy wondrous deeds and blessings towards us at all times.
Jewish Sabbath Evening Service
The Shield of St. Patrick
Christ be with me, Christ before     me, Christ behind me,
Christ within me Christ beneath    me, Christ above me,
Christ on my right, Christ on my    left,
Christ where I lie, Christ where I    sit, Christ where I arise,
Christ in the heart of every one who   thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of every one    who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me, Christ in every ear that hears me. Salvation is of the Lord.
Salvation is of the Lord.
Salvation is of the Christ
May your salvation Lord, be ever    with us.
May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be always at your    back.
May the sun shine warm upon your    face,
And the rains fall soft upon your    field.
Until we meet again, my friend,
May God hold you in the hollow of    hand.
May God hold you in the hollow of    hand.
Holy Spirit, divine Consoler, I adore you as my true God, with God the Father and God the Son. I adore you and unite myself to the adoration you receive from the angels and saints. I give you my heart and I offer my ardent thanksgiving for all the grace which you never cease to bestow on me. Saint Alphonsus de Liguori
God is with me. I want nothing on the earth.
Saint Pierre Toussaint
Saint Pierre Toussaint, a man of remarkable grace and humiliity, was a slave by birth. Just after the Revolutionary War, he left Haiti for New York, where he worked as a hairdresser, and became known for his wisdom and generosity.
The Father of all has no name given him since he is unbegotten. For a being who has a name imposed on him has an elder to give him that name.
More Isaiah
Thou shalt no more have the sun    for thy light by day,
Neither shall the brightness of the
  moon enlighten thee.
But the Lord shall be unto thee an
  everlasting light,
And thy God shall be thy glory.
Thy sun shall go down no more,
And thy moon shall not decrease.
For the Lord shall be unto thee an
  everlasting light,
And the days of thy mourning
  shall be ended.
                                      Ch. 60: 19-20.
O Lord, fill me with thy grace, for the benefit of all.
"The kingdom of heaven is within you.  Insofar as the Son of God dwells in you, the kingdom of heaven lies within you also.  Here within are the riches of heaven, if you desire them.  Here, O sinner, is the kingdom of God within you.  Enter into yourself, seek more eagerly and you will find it without great travail.  Outside you is death, and the door to death is sin.  Enter within yourself and remain in your heart, for there is God."
St. Ephraim of Syria
He that loveth not knoweth not God, for God is love.
I John: 4
If thou wish to reach the prefection of love, it  befits thee to set thy life in order.
St. Catherine of Siena
Accustom yourself continually to make many acts of love, for they enkindle and melt the soul. St. Teresa of Avila
