LIVING THE CALL TO MINISTRY TODAY"
JOURNEY INTO SELF DISCOVERY FOR MEN IN MINISTRY
20th Anniversary Year
February 11 - 16, 2007
San Pedro Centre, Winter Park, Orlando, Florida, USA
July 29 - August 3, 2007
St. Francis Centre for Religious Studies, Mono Mills, ON Canada
This is the 20th year for this exclusive mini-sabbatical
workshop for men in ministry. A unique scripture and psychotherapeutic
exploration of the inner landscape of ministry. "Alive in the time of famine" ...
Never has there been such a difficult time for men in ministry as our day
and time. We are able to identify with "the Treasure we have in clay vessels".
Participants are encourage to find new hope, confidence, self-awareness
and self-esteem and to revitalize the self, their spirit and refresh their
ministry.
Psychotherapy, EmotionalBodywork and the group process provides an
opening into the unconscious side of the soul -- a chance to apprehend those
forces within each of us which so often prevent us from claiming and living our lives.
The group context is a place of anonymity, confidentiality and support.
It allows us to draw on a wide range of experience from our peers and
the knowledge that we are not "walking alone". This is also a time to
celebrate, to relax, to recreate and to experience friendship in a safe
and supportive environment. A participant remarks, "Thank you for this
meaningful place where men can speak in safety, in care and understanding."
The group is limited to approximately 20 participants.
A former participant and pastor writes, "I am still being nurtured by
our days and times together. Keep up the good work. Most priests I know
could use a little heart work (feelings and emotions) to balance out the
incredible stress and demands of ministry today." The Journey into Self
Discovery for Men in Ministry reflects the spirituality that the world
hungers for as witnessed so recently by John Paul II's final journey.
Another former participant writes,"Dear Brothers,Why I am writing? Dan
McDonald, renowned psychotherapist from Toronto, who is no stranger to
many of our Brothers in Canada, is offering workshops in upcoming months
in Sydney, Australia and in Changanacherry, India. The workshop is
entitled: "Exploring the Call to Ministry: Journey Into Self-Discovery
for Men in Ministry." And I just want to let you know that Dan has truly
been a tremendous gift to many of our Brothers in Canada over the years
in the way of therapy and workshops. Personally, Dan was a life-line to
me during my years in leadership in our Canadian Province, so I want to
take this opportunity to highly recommend Dan to you and to any Brothers
who may be interested while he is in Sydney and Changanacherry."

Journey Into Self Discovery for Professionals
JAMAICA, DISCOVERY BAY
ST.ANN'S PARISH, JAMAICA, W.I.
March 10-March 24, 2007
Our annual two-week residential workshop/retreat is open to everyone.
Jamaica, with its gorgeous vistas, beaches, salt sea air and deep blue
water and its engaging people, is the perfect getaway from the pressures
and demands of our northern lives, granting each of us a reprieve, a
moment to catch our breath and get in touch with our deep self.
Over the twenty or so years we've been offering this workshop, most
participants agree it's the magic of Jamaica herself that gently disarms
us, creating space for self-inquiry and insight. Perched high on a
mountainside, overlooking historic Discovery Bay in St. Anne's Parish,
Gim Lan Villa offers all the amenities you could ask for in a genuinely
Jamaican workshop/retreat: plenty of elegantly presented home-made
Caribbean cuisine, cool comfortable rooms [double occupancy], a swimming
pool and breezy patio spaces for meals, workshop sessions and
relaxation. Our program is carefully tailored to provide just the right
balance of individual and group sessions, time for quiet contemplation,
the experience of community living, relaxation and fun.
Although free time and tourist activities are scheduled in for both
weeks, the first week is dedicated more to the workshop experience. The
second week, however, is much more relaxed with more opportunity for
things like visiting cultural/historical sites, snorkeling,
scuba-diving, sailing, golf, tennis, river rafting, horse-back riding
and dancing.

"COME MEET THE WOMAN AT THE WELL"
Journey Into Self Discovery for Professionals
CANADA
20th Anniversary Year
July 8th to July 13th 2007
Maryholme Retreat Centre
Lake Simcoe, Ontario
A mini-sabbatical retreat/workshop for teachers, nurses, social workers,
doctors, lawyers, counselors, pastors, chaplains and lay ministers and
any professional persons. The story of the 'Woman at the Well' provides a powerful imagery: rich, warm symbolism and
dynamic energy to guide us in a process of self-discovery.
At the well, we discover our natural 'Self' through
exploration of our stories, of our emotional (intelligence) in our bodies and of our
relationships. We learn from the scriptures and our faith to heal and revitalize, renew our lives and our careers.
This program is vital for men and women eager to encounter new sources of
hope, self confidence, self awareness and self esteem. Opportunities to
grow in cooperative learning sessions. Challenge the unknown self -
take a journey into inner space. The space program takes us into outer
space. Why not challenge the unknown self and take a journey into inner
space. It is through dreams, emotions, metaphor, myth, intuition and
faith that we find the courage to explore the hidden part of our selves.
This is what the women of the well did!
Journey Programs are ideal individual sabbatical programs complete in
themselves or as integrated modules in a more comprehensive

dance and movement. Scriptural themes for healing and process.

into the psyche through a simple but subtle rich writing technique).
Cranial sacral work, bio-synthesis, bio-energetics, bio-dynamic massage,
hypnosis, visualization and methodology.
